Allow the customer to choose to have the software automatically send out notification to vendors without having to trigger the notifications manually.
1. Within the Received Certificates workflows editor add a checkbox at the bottom of the email selection boxes called Automate workflows. When this is checked the workflow schedule grid appears which populates within the selected emails.
a. users can enter in the ( #) of days (before/after) certificate expiration that the message should be sent out.
b. When the Automate workflows box is checked the user will be able to specify specific vendors/projects to assign the workflow to through the additional tabs that are available on the workflow editor. Before the automate workflows box is checked the vendors and Projects tabs are disabled.
c. If vendors/projects are not assigned to the workflow the automate workflow feature will not automatically trigger the notifications.
d. If a user sets the Automated Workflow and clicks Save and Close but has not specified vendors/projects.a message will appear that asks them to confirm that they would like to continue.
2. Automated workflows will not affect the users ability to assign a workflow to an individual vendor from the Received Certificates page,
Notes:
Having the workflows automatically send based on the expiration date and client-entered number of days before/after would be a huge benefit.
I believe that it would also be very helpful if the workflows could track the expiration dates entered for certificates, so that when they are entered into a workflow the e-mail notifications are mailed out at the correct intervals, rather than having to manually initiate and/or remove the vendor from the workflow list. This would truly automate the workflow. Otherwise, what would be the point of having a workflow?
